The unique technical and conceptual nature of Chicote's creative process gives each work a character that is difficult to reproduce. Nevertheless, the artist considers it essential to expressly guarantee the authenticity, originality, and exclusivity of all his pieces. To this end, he has established his own system of identification and certification that makes them unambiguous and recognizable.
This system includes the use of specific supports and developing papers, the finish of which is complex to replicate through manual procedures, as well as the issuance of a certificate of authenticity given to the buyer at the time of purchase. This certificate is supported by a private register of owners, kept by the artist, which records the technical data of the work and the details of its acquisition.
Furthermore, in order to preserve the integrity of his authorship and prevent possible misattributions, Chicote maintains a comprehensive documentary archive of the creation process of each piece, recording its various stages of evolution and transformation. This archive constitutes an additional guarantee and verifiable evidence in case of dispute.
